Educational activities after obtaining my Ph.D.:
1- Supervise projects of many postgraduates at the Biomedical Engineering department. 2- Authored a book entitled ‘Technology of Medical Radiology’. 3- Conducted the following research : - Influence of direct excitation and collective excitation in elastic scattering of protons and Alpha particles from even – even Zn (Science Week 1997, Damascus, Syria). - Studying the emissions of Radioactive waste in Syrian hospitals (Science Week 1999, Damascus, Syria ). - Analysis of Alpha particles scattering on even – even Zn by connected method (during the Nuclear Physics and Spectroscopy Conference 2000, St-Petersburg, Russia). - Choosing a new industrial technology of getting medical radio nuclides using a cyclotron (during the Nuclear Physics and Spectroscopy Conference 2000, St-Petersburg, Russia). - Production of radionuclides for therapy (during the conference on properties of excited conditions for nuclei and mechanisms of nuclear reactions, St-Petersburg, Russia, 2001). - Possibility of industrial use of the method of vacuum distillation separation for production of cyclotron radionuclides (Journal of Applied Radioactivity Measurements, Vol. 12, No. 3, 2001). - Requirements of physics course enhancement at the faculty of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering of Damascus University (at the conference ‘Technical Universities: Integration with European and World Education Systems’, Izhevsk, Russia, 2004). - Analysis of educational system and advanced training in Syria (at the conference ‘Technical Universities: Integration with European and World Education Systems’, Izhevsk,Russia, 2006). - Information model of recording and processing of photoplethysmograms, Journal “ISTU Messenger”, 2006. No. 3, pp. 48-52. - Study of higher education challenges in the Arab world and overcoming the obstacles (at the conference ‘Technical Universities: Integration with European and World Education Systems’, April 22–24, 2008, Izhevsk,Russia. Conference Proceedings, Vol. 1, pp. 205–209). - Normalizing influence of auricular laserpuncture to central genesis opthalmohypertension (the 4th Workshop on Laser Science and Applications, May 20–22, 2008).
4- Conducted the following research in Radiation Laboratory HASYLAB in Hamburg, Germany, September–December, 2001: A- Preparation of two Si-crystals as a monochromator system for microtomography. B- Experiments for measuring the doses of some iodine gadolinium water and air solutions by means of monochromatic X-rays at 20 keV, 33 keV, and 50 keV. C- Preparation of DEI and CT experiments and taking radiography of different medical and geological samples as well as their image processing by means of a special computer programme. D- Experiments on a recently designed double crystal monochromator with a cooling system on both sides of the crystal and a new method for crystal bending.
5- Participated in the following conferences: - First Biomedical conference with the report ‘Medical applications of Isotopes’. May, 1997, Damascus, Syria. - Conference on materials with the report ‘A method of measuring thickness of a very thin target using Alpha particles and its comparison with the results obtained by the same method but with the use of Gamma rays’. October,1998, Beirut, Lebanon. - 2nd Biomedical conference with the report ‘The Radon, its effects, its existence and protection against its radiation’. November, 1998, Damascus, Syria. - Participated in course of isotopes application and nuclear safety, Middle-Eastern Regional Radioisotope Center for the Arab countries, Cairo. 8–26/05/1999. - Participated in and completed the technology and applications of accelerator-driven systems (ADS) in cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA, Vienna, Austria), 17–28 October, 2005.
